. . . . . . Paradigm Dance Project (PDP) was founded in May 1999 and received
nonprofit status (501)(c)(3)) in July 2000. Meghan Cooley, Amanda Sowerby, and Alysia Woodruff co-founded
PDP and continue to serve as co-directors of the organization. Each of the
founders possesses extensive dance training, performing, and teaching
experience. PDP evolved as a joint initiative among three graduate
students in the University of Utah graduate program in Modern Dance and
was given organizational support in its first year by Repertory Dance
Theatre of Salt Lake City, Utah. PDP's mission is to foster creativity,
expression, and education through movement. PDP provides access to dance
for underserved populations, as well as emerging, experimental, and
nontraditional dance artists through outreach classes, workshops, and
performing opportunities. |
